FAQ

What is Gatherings?
We are a community center that also runs as a restaurant. At our heart we are a Christian non-profit, run by amazing volunteers from our community. We opened as a place for friends, family and new friends to gather and enjoy each others company.
-
Why is the food by donation?
We know everyone needs a helping hand from time to time. We are dedicated to making sure that healthy food is available to everyone, which is why; even with the rising food costs we haven’t changed our suggested donation from $8.00
-
What type of food do you serve?
We serve homemade plant-based food. Our goal is to show how good healthy food can be. We know that for many there is a lack of meat on the plate, but we just want to showcase food without it. We are not scared of meat here at Gatherings, in fact Tiffany is actually a chef and has worked at many different restaurants throughout her career. If you got to know us a bit, we would tell you that if you enjoy having meat in your meal that we suggest getting to know your local farms and support them and their families. The more we focus on supporting local the better off we all are.
-
What are your hours?
We are currently open Wednesday- Friday 11:30-1:30pm for lunch.
Why the weird times?
We are completely operated by volunteers, more volunteers, more opportunities to be open. We are hopeful that in the future we will be open even more. But right now we are excited to be open 3 days a week!

Where do my donations go?
If you come in a make a donation, those donations go towards food cost. If you are giving above and beyond the suggested donation or by check or online those donations (after food cost is covered) goes towards running costs- water, electricity, gas etc. Without those extra donations we wouldn’t be able to continue to serve this community.

How do the directors live off the money if it's all going towards Gatherings?
The simple answer is that they don’t. Just like all the volunteers they have dedicated their time and efforts to get Gatherings on the map as a way to serve our community.
They trust God to provide for their families needs- and feel free to ask- they have lots of stories. They would be happy to share how God is currently providing for them.
